Choir Nation member, Christian Giddings shares his use of numeric scoring to help identify the number of minutes he’ll need to teach any choral work and program balanced concerts.
Christian Giddings is a conductor, composer/arranger, music educator, and co-founder of UnNamed Publishing LLC. He is from Unity, Maine and holds a B.M. in Music Education with a concentration in voice and M.M. in Music Education with a focus in choral conducting from the University of Maine in Orono. He has been a clinician and choral conductor to students from Maine, Massachusetts, Arizona, New Hampshire, and North Dakota. As a composer/ arranger he has received commissions and performances from choirs in North Dakota, Maine, Massachusetts, and Arizona. In the fall of 2015 he and his business partner founded UnNamed Publishing LLC a music publishing company who’s mission is to provide quality music to choirs of all ability levels. Most recently Christian was the Pre-K-12th grade music teacher at Scranton Public Schools in Scranton, North Dakota. He will begin study this fall at the University of Arizona for his D.M.A. in choral conducting, studying under Dr. Bruce Chamberlain.
